Established in Miami in 1977 by a small group of young architects as an experimental studio, Arquitectonica was receiving critical acclaim and popular attention since its founding, thanks to a bold modernism that refused to yield to the postmodernist trend of the times, and which was immediately identified with a renaissance in Miami’s urban landscape. Led by Bernardo Fort-Brescia and Laurinda Spear, Arquitectonica continues to this day exploring and pushing the limits of design with their innovative use of geometry, pattern, color and materials.
