I began my Practice in 1989 to include working with other architects, building contractors and commercial leasing agents. I worked independently with eagerness to grow. I thought I needed to grow the Firm to get the type of projects that I wanted to design. I began hiring people and taking on more work. Soon we were a mid-sized firm doing over 100 projects during most years. A turning point for the Firm came in 1997. I saw that each year, of all the projects that we did, there were a few good ones; projects that a single architect with no overhead could accomplish nicely! So now I work on my own, in collaboration with other architects, engineers and drafting professionals.
