I collect your money upfront. Then I show you some BS paperwork. Then I tell you that you have to pay more money to get it passed. Your know the deal. Then I tell you that you have to apply for variance for another few thousand dollars. I try to get the maximum from you. By the time you figure me out & you can't pay me more, you get no refund because I'll tell you I did the work but the town didn't approve. Go find a new architect if you can pay me more.
