rhiza A+D Architecture + Design is an architecture firm in Portland, Oregon. We provide: Architecture and Design-Build services to assist our clients in collaborative design, planning, visualizing and realizing your project. We are: A design studio + building workshop founded in 2005. Partners Ean Eldred, Richard Garfield, John Kashiwabara, and Peter Nylen have worked together since 1996 creating architecture, public artworks, interior and exterior furnishings. Rhiza stems from rhizome- a root system that is collaborative, diverse and adaptable. We believe bringing together diverse perspectives is the root of creating durable and adaptable designs. We strive to create lasting cultural and climate sensitive structures and spaces.
